by profession i was one of those most uncreative of people, a quantity surveyor. in my younger days i travelled extensively and developed a passion for the cultures of north, east and west africa and south east asia. these journeys also inspired me to record the landscapes and scenes of everyday life which are so far removed from our own domestic experience. unfortunately, most of the images recorded in those early days are lost forever.

in the last few years however, with children having grown up and a little more time being available, i have resumed my passion for recording beautiful and unusual images.
